One of the Mediterranean's classic offshore races sets off from Malta's Grand Harbour, a 606-nautical-mile loop around Sicily and back. The harbour start is a spectacle in itself: a packed fleet of ocean-going yachts framed by Valletta's bastions, free to watch from the shore. A great one for sailing fans, photographers and anyone after a memorable morning out.
